I believe that what you eat is your business, and you deserve to be able to enjoy whatever the hell you want, without feeling guilty, judged, or like you’re doing food all wrong. I’m looking at you, restrictive meal plans, calorie counters and eliminating foods you love!
I believe you don’t have to do everything perfectly to feel fantastic. Really! I believe a stress free life, full of all the joy and energy you crave, is waiting for you right now, and getting there doesn’t depend on you following strict meal plans, cutting out your morning coffee shop fix to buy weird foods you don’t enjoy (or know how to cook), or spending hours in the kitchen - unless the kitchen is your jam, of course!
I BELIEVE IN GIVING YOU THE TOOLS TO HELP GET YOU WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, NOT A RULE BOOK (AKA MORE STRESS!) FOR YOU TO FOLLOW.

I felt great in my 40’s … until I didn’t. Enter stress, menopause, poor sleep. And that didn’t just fade away when I entered my 50’s, it just got worse. I was tired, frustrated and fed up with settling!
I spent a lot of time (and money) trying to get back to the old me, but nothing worked. I kept chasing someone else’s idea of health until I finally learned how to create solutions that fit for me, not in a cookie cutter meal plan or a 2-week detox.
Finding answers and making changes that stick is hard AF!

My B’hive is my kitchen. It’s my happy place, my creative space, and unless I’m around the water,
it’s where I feel most calm.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t passionate about food and cooking; from playing “restaurant” as a kid to experimenting with new foods and learning how to cook for myself once I had my own kitchen to play in.
But the connection between what I was eating and my health didn’t come until later.
I’ve always been active and healthy, but that started to change as I moved through my 40’s. Stress went through the roof (a career that wasn’t a good fit didn’t help), I wasn’t sleeping well, my energy sucked and, honestly, so did my mood. Just ask my family :). I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
I tried a bit of everything to get back to my 35 year old self: special diets, cleanses and resets, exercise classes, gym memberships, and all kinds of medical and functional testing. The list was long (and expensive), my friend! Learning that, medically, everything was “fine”, didn’t help. It made me feel even worse, like I’d failed again.
Getting back to myself felt like such a big hill to climb, I almost didn’t even start. It wasn’t until after I finished nutrition school that the lightbulb went off. I began seeing first-hand how confused people were about how to eat, how afraid they were of eating the “wrong” foods, and how discouraged they got when nothing changed.
PERFECTIONISM WAS TAKING OVER THE JOY OF SIMPLY BEING AND I KNEW THAT WASN’T FOR ME.
AND YOU DON’T NEED TO FEEL THAT WAY EITHER!
I got my groove back, and you can too!
THE DIFFERENCE IS YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT ALL BY YOURSELF!
I believe that feeling guilty about food and stressing about how you eat is so 1999. It’s time to do food on your own terms and use that energy for the stuff you actually enjoy doing.
I believe it’s OK to put yourself at the front of the line. You deserve to take care of yourself first, before tackling the rest of your to-do list. Your friends and family will thank you for it - trust me!
